Snus mostly referred to as tobacco cessation therapy products is a smokeless nicotine product that was originated in Sweden about 200 years ago but it is also used in the Denmark as snus, United States, Europe, and more parts of the world. People see smokeless nicotine products as a better alternative to smoking. However, we see different variants such as Tobacco free and Nicotine free or tobacco free but with nicotine in them.
In October 2019, the FDA authorized the use of Snus as less harmful than tobacco
“Using general snus instead of cigarettes puts you at a lower risk of heart disease, chronic bronchitis, lung cancer, stroke, and emphysema.”
This authorization was made after reviewing scientific evidence submitted by the company that supported this claim
Find Different Snus Brands?
When buying a snus in Denmark consumers can find plenty of popular snus variants (slim, strong, extra strong) and brands with their own flavors. A nicotine pouch offers a smokeless oral nicotine product that is finely ground and sold in a pouch form. Consumers place the pouch under the top of the lip -they are no chewing gums but offers easier alternatives. While producers of different brands derive snus, processed with or without tobacco pasteurization – this is when nitrate-forming microbes are removed. This snus pasteurization process leads to lower levels of tobacco-specific nitrosamine content in the product. Due to this tobacco free deriving of snus consumers find it a better alternative. Tobacco companies report that snus is a less harmful alternative to smoking cigarettes
